LOVE......such a wonderful thing!!

I've been a "bad, bad' girl..I haven't blogged for several days now. First, on Sunday night I spent the night at one of my "little sisters" houses.....Kathy...and we had a "watch the Grammy's-watch The Walking Dead" season premiere. Yes, I love the ZOMBIES...and Rick and Shane aren't to bad themselves!! And yesterday, I just kinda spent the day doing nothing....reading a good book.
So, today I wanted to talk about Love, since it is Valentines day....you know, there are so many types of love. The love a parent has for a child....the love a spouse has for a spouse.....the love a friend has for a friend.....and the love we get unconditionally from our pets. How IT makes us feel....how we feel when we aren't around our love....so many things can be said about LOVE.
But, today I wanted to talk about children and grandchildren. I have three wonderful and oh so different children. Brooke, the oldest is my "child of the fairy folk"...she is so whimsical and childlike, and loves the adventure of Life. Katelyn, my middle child is my "child of the world"....she Lives Life to the fullest....full speed ahead...nothing gets in her way!!! And then there is Kristoper...my only son. I have to tell you he was named after one of my all time favorite singers and song writers...Kris Kristopherson. Yes, I love me some rock and roll!!! But, Kris was born when I wasn't expecting anymore children and really was afarid to have a child later in life....but, he has brought me such great happiness...as have all my children.
But, this past June, the greatest Love in my life happened....I became a grandmother. Oh such joy!!! I was there with my son and his girlfriend, Ashley, when our precious Kenzley Aubrie Owen was born.  To see the look on my sons face when his daughter was born...I then knew what my dear mother had felt...as she had been when all of her grandchildren had been born. Loving our children even more through our grandchildren.
I sincerely hope that each of you today are so BLESSED to spend time withsome that you love and that loves you. And, in ending today I will share a couple pics of my beloved grandbaby, Kenzley. Blessings, Deborah

Good Sunday Evening Everyone, Well, if you have ever visited my Pinterest boards, you know that I love Bohemian ANYTHING! The colors.....the clothes.....the furniture.....I'm an "ole hippie", what do you expect! I have seen so many things online, from clothes to jewelry, that have touched my bohemian soul, but, of course, for the most part, I can not afford to buy what I like. So, I resort to learning how to make it instead, and recently, I had seen these zip tie bracelets and just didn't think they would turn out like the pictures, but they did! Easy Peazy! You will need the large zip ties, your jewelry making tools, strips of cloth, jewelry wire and scotch tape. Yes, scotch tape! I took a zip tie and made a circle to measure the size of my wrist, but then just added a "smidgen"and then cut off the end of the zip tie and taped the circle together. Everyone Loves Watermelon....Right?

Good Monday Evening Everyone, Wow, can you believe that it is already the 6th of May??? I can't.....it seems like it was just yesterday that I  moved into my new home in February! But, I'm not complaining...especially after all the rain we got last week, the Sun was out today....there was a nice breeze blowing....and I had breakfast with my 2 daughters this morning, and my 4 1/2 month old grandson! It was wonderful, and I knew Summer is on it's way! When I was growing up, one of my favorite times of the Summer was when you could see all the watermelons for sale, and my Daddy loved him some watermelon! He would go to the local little farmer's stand where all his buddies whom were farmers were selling fresh local produce. He would load up the car with watermelons and come home. We would ice them down in a cooler that morning and then he would make us go outside to play! So, the water hoses were brought out and slung over a tree branch.....water sprinklers were set

The Lady with Blue Eyes...New Folk Art Painting

Good Friday Evening Everyone, Wow, it has been an absolutely beautiful day down here in rural South Georgia in my hometown of Waycross. The Sun has been shinning most of the day.....a soft, gentle breeze has been whispering through the pines.....just an all around great day..... and what better time for me to premiere my newest, and I think my best, folk art painting. I had this idea in my head for along time....I wanted her to be a little whimsy.....slightly "hippieish".... magical....secretive.....and special. I used both acrylic and oil painting....I had an old frame in my craft closet....and decided to glue the frame to the mat.
